Bully Ray Says WWE Fans Would “Embrace” Vince McMahon at John Cena’s Retirement

Bully Ray on Vince McMahon Potentially Appearing at John Cena’s Retirement

As speculation continues to grow about John Cena’s eventual WWE retirement, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray has shared his thoughts on a possible emotional moment that could take place during the farewell event.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray said that fans would “embrace” Vince McMahon making an appearance at Cena’s final WWE send-off.

“I think it’s a really good idea [Vince McMahon appearing at John Cena's retirement]. It’s going to be a very emotional night… And Vince is the guy that gave John his opportunity,” Bully Ray said.

“If Vince were to come out in that moment to give John his final farewell, I think the people would like to see that, or would embrace it, and maybe for that moment in time, forget about all of the things that are going on in, quote, unquote, real life with Vince. I think they could ride that wave of positivity.”

Bully Ray acknowledged the real-world controversies surrounding Vince McMahon, but believes that for one night, fans would focus solely on the impact Vince had on Cena’s legendary career.

John Cena’s Connection to Vince McMahon

John Cena’s career is deeply tied to Vince McMahon, who gave him his first big break in WWE. Over the years, Cena has credited Vince for shaping his career and giving him the platform to become one of the biggest names in professional wrestling history.

When Could This Moment Happen?

While no official retirement date has been confirmed, Cena has hinted at winding down his in-ring career. If such a moment with Vince were to happen, it could easily become one of WWE’s most emotional segments in recent memory.
